Made from high-speed steel with 5% cobalt (HSS-Co5), it provides excellent heat resistance, hardness, and long-lasting durability—ideal for stainless steel, high-tensile steel, and other demanding metals.
Its precision step tip design allows for fast starts without the need for pilot holes, reducing bit wander and ensuring clean, precise holes in both ferrous and non-ferrous metals as well as timber.
Equipped with a 1/4" hex shank, this drill bit is compatible with impact drivers, quick-change adaptors, and standard drill chucks for quick bit changes and secure holding.
The bronze (gold oxide) finish results from a low-temperature tempering process typical of cobalt tools, aiding in tool identification and wear visibility.
