Bordo 7.00mm Metric Cobalt Tough HSS-Co5 Step Tip Drill – Extreme Performance Series
The Bordo 7.00mm Step Tip Drill is engineered for high-performance drilling in demanding materials. Made from high-speed steel with 5% cobalt (HSS-Co5), it offers excellent heat resistance, hardness, and extended tool life—ideal for stainless steel, high-tensile steels, and other hard-to-cut metals.
Its step tip design eliminates the need for a pilot hole, enabling fast starts, reduced walking, and clean, precise hole formation in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, as well as all timber types.
The drill’s 1/4" hex shank provides compatibility with impact drivers, quick-change adaptors, and standard chucks, allowing for rapid bit changes and strong tool engagement on-site or in the workshop.
Finished in bronze (gold oxide), the bit is low-temperature tempered for cobalt identification and wear visibility—making it easy to track bit condition during use.
