Bordo 4.00mm Metric Cobalt Tough HSS-Co5 Step Tip Drill – Extreme Performance Series
The Bordo 4.00mm Step Tip Drill is designed for high-speed, precision drilling in tough materials. Crafted from high-speed steel with 5% cobalt (HSS-Co5), it delivers outstanding hardness, heat resistance, and tool life—perfect for stainless steel, high-tensile steels, and other demanding metals.
The advanced step tip design eliminates the need for a pilot hole, allowing fast starts, reduced walking, and clean, accurate drilling in both metal and timber applications.
Equipped with a 1/4" hex shank, the drill bit is fully compatible with impact drivers, quick-change adaptors, and standard drill chucks, ensuring easy and secure bit changes.
Finished in a bronze (gold oxide) coating, the bit features a low-temperature tempering treatment used to identify cobalt tools and provide a visual wear indicator.
