The Bordo 5 x 0.8mm HSS Intermediate Tap is designed for producing accurate, clean internal threads in medium-sized holes, suitable for both workshop and on-site applications. Manufactured from premium high-speed steel (HSS), it offers excellent hardness, wear resistance, and durability, even when threading stainless steel and other hard materials.

With a medium lead of approximately 3–5 threads, this intermediate (second) tap is ideal for continuing threads after starting with a taper tap, or for use before a bottoming tap in blind hole applications. Produced to metric coarse (MC) specifications, it is suited for M5 fasteners with a 0.8mm pitch.
