Bordo HSS Tap – Metric Coarse – Intermediate – 3 x 0.5mm

The Bordo 3 x 0.5mm HSS Intermediate Tap is precision-engineered for producing accurate internal threads in small-diameter holes. Manufactured from premium high-speed steel (HSS), it delivers excellent hardness, wear resistance, and a long service life, even when cutting tougher materials such as stainless steel.

With a medium lead of approximately 3–5 threads, this intermediate (second) tap is ideal for deepening and refining threads after starting with a taper tap, or as a step before finishing with a bottoming tap in blind holes. Produced to metric coarse (MC) specifications, it is perfectly suited for M3 fasteners with a 0.5mm pitch.
