Bordo HSS Tap – Metric Coarse – Intermediate – 16 x 2.0mm

The Bordo 16 x 2.0mm HSS Intermediate Tap is designed for producing accurate, clean internal threads in materials such as steel, stainless steel, aluminium, and non-ferrous metals. Manufactured from premium high-speed steel (HSS), it offers excellent hardness, wear resistance, and a long service life for both hand and machine tapping applications.

With a medium lead of approximately 3–5 threads, this intermediate (second) tap is ideal for general-purpose threading. It is commonly used after a taper tap to deepen and refine threads, or before a bottoming tap when threading blind holes. Made to metric coarse (MC) thread standards, it is perfectly matched to M16 fasteners with a 2.0mm pitch.
