Bordo HSS Tap – Metric Coarse – Taper – 14 x 2.0mm
The Bordo 14 x 2.0mm HSS Taper Tap is purpose-built for starting clean, accurate internal threads in materials such as steel, stainless steel, aluminium, and non-ferrous metals. Manufactured from premium high-speed steel (HSS), it delivers outstanding durability, wear resistance, and a long working life, making it ideal for both hand and machine tapping applications.
With a long lead of approximately 7–10 threads, this taper tap provides a gradual cutting action that reduces tool load, improves control, and ensures accurate thread alignment. It is the preferred first tap in a threading sequence for through-holes or as the starting stage before progressing to intermediate and bottoming taps. Made to metric coarse (MC) thread standards, it is perfectly matched for M14 fasteners with a 2.0mm pitch.
