The Bordo 10 x 1.5mm HSS Intermediate Tap is designed for producing clean, accurate internal threads in materials such as steel, stainless steel, aluminium, and non-ferrous metals. Manufactured from premium high-speed steel (HSS), it offers exceptional strength, wear resistance, and long tool life in both hand and machine tapping applications.

As an intermediate (second) tap, it features a medium lead of approximately 3–5 threads, making it ideal for general-purpose thread cutting. It is commonly used after a taper tap for progressively deeper thread formation, or before a bottoming tap when threading blind holes. This tap is made to metric coarse (MC) standards, perfectly matching M10 fasteners with a 1.5mm pitch.
