The Bordo HSS Intermediate Tap is engineered for creating accurate internal threads to the British Standard Pipe Parallel (BSPF) standard, sized 1/8" x 28 TPI (threads per inch). With its medium-length lead-in taper, the intermediate (second) tap is used after a taper tap to deepen and refine the thread form, easing the cutting load before final finishing with a bottoming tap.
