This high-speed steel (HSS) bottoming tap is designed for producing accurate internal threads to the Unified National Fine (UNF) standard, sized 1/4" x 28 TPI (threads per inch). With a very short lead-in taper, the bottoming style tap is ideal for threading blind holes to full depth, providing maximum thread engagement in fine-thread applications.
