HSS Tap UNF Intermediate – 1 x 12
This high-speed steel (HSS) intermediate tap, also referred to as a second tap, is manufactured for cutting precise internal threads to the Unified National Fine (UNF) standard, sized 1" x 12 TPI (threads per inch). With a medium lead-in taper, it provides smooth cutting action and accuracy, making it suitable for both through holes and blind holes. It is commonly used after a taper tap and before a bottoming tap in a complete set.
